O.G. Inselstadt Schutzhund Club is located in the beautiful north woods of Hazelhurst, Wisconsin. We are a member of the United Schutzhund Clubs of American, North Central Region.
We are a small group of like minded members dedicated to training, promoting, and enjoying the sport of Schutzhund. We work together to train both the handler and the dog. We train and trial in all phases of Schutzhund. Our members have trained and titled dogs from the basics of the BH through Sch3(IPO3) as well as FH titles.
While Schutzhund was designed as a breed test for the German Shepherd Dog, we welcome all breeds of dogs to our club. The sport of Schutzhund is intended to demonstrate the dog's intelligence and utility. As a working trial, Schutzhund measures the dog's mental stability, endurance, physical soundness, trainability and willingness to work.
Our club training is on Sundays. In the spring-fall months training consists of tracking, obedience, and protection. In the winter months we are indoors and training consists of obedience and protection.
If you would like to stop by to meet us and see how we train, please contact us first. This ensures any visitors know which training location we will be at and whether or not training has been cancelled.
